About Our Program!

The mission of Healthy Chefs: Kid’s Edition is to promote nutritional education among youth and their families by encouraging appropriate food selection, healthy eating habits and physical activity.

The purpose of the Healthy Chefs: Kids Edition nutrition and wellness workshop is to enhance youth and their families' knowledge about healthy eating, weight management, and nutrition label reading. Chefs and nutritionists will demonstrate how to prepare and cook meals using affordable food products such as vegetables, fruit, meat to teach participants how to create a delicious, balanced meal that the entire family will enjoy.

The on-going support, Healthy Chefs: Go Beyond, is to ensure that the knowledge and skills are being implemented into program participants' daily lifestyles. In this aspect of the program, the families will come together with nutritionists to ensure that they develop a plan that will fit their family's life that will lead to healthier lifestyles.
